Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth: India Gets New Army Chief

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth has been appointed as the next Chief of Army Staff, effective 30th June 2026. A distinguished Armoured Corps officer, he brings over three decades of service experience and will become the first Armoured Corps officer to lead the Army in nearly three decades. His appointment is significant as he commanded key operational commands during critical periods including Operation Sindoor.
